Ole chooses this defence, WamBa, Bailly, Varane & Shaw, 4 defenders who can defend, we would have put that defence against any opposition out there and come out on top. We would have been possibly the top team in Europe with Pace, Power & Good Organisation with Ronaldo or Pogba as Captain. The Team as a Whole is more confident & plays better when the 'World Class Defender & Striker' is in the Team, So Our chance of winning the game is a lot higher. Varane is Maguire's rep!acement + Bring Back Smalling! Plus the present forward Line + Tchouaméni or Soumare, Jovic & Dembele, then Yes we can seriously challenge for the Title & Champion League! Bring in Roy Keane as Assistant Manager, that would encourage to get the players & staff to improve on their focus, performance, consistency and achieve more.

We should be going after Goretzka 100%. Camavinga Saul wouldve been fine, but Goretzka on free is 10/10 quality signing. Tielemans fine as well, but it will cost us. Same goes for Rice. Pogba Lingard must sign extensions. Martial Matic Fred Jones Lindelof goodbye. Cavani off. Hummels Haland main targets next summer imo. By the way, Henderson Elanga Amad Pellistri Mejbri Garner Williams Dalot Alvaro Tuaznebe Mengi will all be fantastic in next year or two. Amazing youth setup!

Tielemans aint MU breed gtfoh. Tchouameni is the perfect lone 6. Played very well for France recently and had won young player of the year last year in Ligue 1. Id say around 40M but will probably end up a Leicester or somewhere they know what they are doing when it comes to up and coming talents.

This honestly was one of the most rubbish transfer raters in some time. Lingard leaving for free isn't 50/50. Its 💯 Håland coming to United is 1/100. With what we've seen from Håland camp, they are shrewd. Won't give a shit about all the nonsense you talked childhood hero and stuff. There are more chances of Tchoumeni happening than Håland.

The Haaland on Ronaldo quote is him spouting bs tbh. It's just a way of letting United know to splash the cash on him. We all know the Raiola effect first hand at this point, he'll join us and spend 4 seasons here. Whether or not Ronaldo is still playing 4 years from now he'll have another quote through Raiola stating that "it has always been Erling's dream to play alongside ". His dad got him into football, he's just using Ronaldo's name to say he wants us to give him a big contract without getting in trouble with Dortmund

That's incredibly cynical. AFAIK he's always said his idol was Ronaldo, ever since he was a little kid. His other idol is Zlatan, which he's always been very clear about too. Mind you he played for United as well.

@Peter Taylor This is a completely different team to the one he has rejected, plus it was a wise move to go to a club where he was guaranteed a starting position. He developed himself and in a year or two he is going to move to a bigger club.

Haaland won't come. He has already rejected us/Ole once, so why would he come now? The Glazers won't have two big summer transfer windows in a row and Haaland is going to cost a huge amount of money. The limited transfer fee is still in the region of 70m, but he will also get a huge signing bonus and Raiola will insist on getting a huge fee for himself. After that you have to stump up in the region of 700k per week in salary. It just won't happen. The only ones that can afford Haaland are the Oil money clubs and Chelsea for whom FFP doesn't seem to count.

@J U yeah mate, get it, but you're telling fairy tales here. If he comes this January or next season he has to play each game, that's a certainty, as there's no way he sits on the bench. That means Ronaldo has to sit on the bench, which won't happen either, Cavani will have to go, which probably will happen and Greenwood would have to play as a winger, cuz atm Haaland is the big star, despite the fact Greenwood is a much better option for us regarding our future..

Lingard leaving is 9 out of 10. His agent is Raiola who always plays these games so he can get a big fat fee for himself for providing a transfer free player to the next club. Haaland is 1 out of 10.

@Crooner some of the points you are highlighting are kinda irrelevant to the point I was arguing. I simply denied the point that stated that T'meni is FAR better than EC. And I highlighted that he might be a better fit due to how he plays and what not, and age will also play a factor in him being a better FIT. But "FAR BETTER PLAYER"? that is just narrative, new hype and youtube highlight talk. You can have a preference and an opinion on who is better but "FAR MUCH BETTER" is bs

@Crooner and am not a Camavinga fan btw, am a football fan and would take T'meni over EC based on him being a better fit, but he is not a better player. @tafadzwa Boka Camavinga is still a young boy playing in a men's game. Handling the hype at a young age is a difficult hurdle to overcome, and unfortunately Camavinga has struggled ever since his first call up to the French national squad. Tchouameni(let's not be lazy when it comes to spelling names) on the other hand has matured far more quickly than Camavinga and already looks like a man playing a man's game. His recent spotless(motm) showing for France being ample proof. I can tell that you, like many others, are a Camavinga fan, and I get it. I just hope for him that the Real Madrid experience will be a positive one, which is far from being a given.

I'm not sure when are we going to get ourselves a CDM if we have to replace exiting players

    • Maurice Carvalho

      10 dager siden

@BEN-G I agree ,this season is truly like the last dance and even if we win, we will end losing players. If given a chance and we can make only one transfer that would have to be Harlaand, replacing Pogba would be difficult but we can always switch to the double pivot and make Ronaldo play on the wing. Nevertheless replacing Pogba would be near impossible, Tielmans/Goeretzka are good center mids, but none come close to a prime Pogba.

No club should be guaranteeing playing time to any player, let them fight for their place and if they are not good enough they have the option of improving. At the same time the governing bodies need to introduce a rule banning the payment of signing on fees (in any manner) for players on 'free' transfers.

    • Dave Clarke

      Dave Clarke

      9 dager siden

@Michael Collins The signing on fee could be paid in a lump sum, ergo 'expected' performance which may or may not be delivered. The signing on fee could be paid as an inflated salary. See Sanchez for the hole that route digs for oneself. 'Swap' deals for players assumes that the player the club is losing had zero cost. Again, see Sanchez deal. I'll say it again. Signing on fees to players, or agents, distort what the hierarchy call 'business' and lay clubs wide open to financial blackmail.

    • Michael Collins

      Michael Collins

      10 dager siden

@Dave Clarke surely any bonus a player receives is performance based. No club is giving Phil Jones a signing on fee because there’s no performances to reference

@singsangsung because Tchouameni + Kamara lacks the experience in the 6 position that we are already missing. Matic is no leader, no example, just a very traditional player. I think he’s playing now because Ronnie wants him. He’s consistent and predictable like a 6 should be. But I don’t think he can play vs the big teams or even for more than 10 games and he lacks the pace for the necessary recovery runs and quick interceptions. Kanté would solve that for the games he can play, and be the ultimate example for a Tchouameni while he’s doing it. This is why we have Ronaldo and Cavani as well as Greenwood and Martial. You need the experience to guide the talent. Tuanzebe and Mengi will have a great time under Maguire and Varane once Bailly, Jones and ultimately Lindelof have left.
